Art And Design Inc Opens New York City Art Gallery
Charles Walcott gallery director informed the press of the need of his galleries expansion internationally as to expose the art of not only the island of Barbados, but of other caribbean nations. "We maybe a small island, but our artists have the passion and the talent to influence the art world".
Since its opening in January 2008, the artists Fielding Babb, Julianna Innis and John Walcott have been chosen from a list of 400 artists to participate in SHContemporary 2008 to be held in Shanghai, China.
Leonides Molinar, Director of LeonidesArts, says "its about time for these artists and other caribbean and latino artists to exhibit their art to the world at large. We will see what happens in China."
