The BTI 7000 Series’ packetVX™ module portfolio has completed MEF 9 and 14 certified for Ethernet Private and Virtual Private Lines (EPL, EVPL), and Ethernet LAN (ELAN) while the transponder and muxponder client service modules are MEF 9 certified for Ethernet Private Line services.
The complete BTI portfolio now complies with MEF service architecture specifications and offers service performance, bandwidth profiling, and traffic management capabilities dramatically simplifying application and service delivery.
“The MEF certification of the BTI 7000 Series means our customers can be assured that all BTI solutions are standards-compliant Ethernet services delivery vehicles that will deliver on expectations within customer networks.” Said Jason Smith, Manager, Global Marketing and Certifications Program Manager, BTI Systems. “The MEF’s globally recognized certification program provides independent validation of equipment interoperability and ensures Service providers and enterprises now have a standardized approach to service delivery. Certified solutions dramatically reduce testing costs, time-to-market and installation time for end customers of Carrier Ethernet equipment and services.”
BTI now offers certified platforms providing demarcation, extension, and aggregation functionality for simplified, end-to-end networking of Ethernet and IP services. The certification of the BTI 7000 Series complements the previous certification of the BTI 700 Series portfolio of Ethernet Access Devices.
