LARGE YELLOW PERCH CAUGHT IN BALTIMORE COUNTY MD RESERVOIR
6/8/07 - Baltimore County, MD - A 13.5 inch
yellow perch was caught by
Frank DiJulio recently at Loch Raven Reservoir in Baltimore County, MD on 6/8/07. These fish normally average about 9-10 inches. A simple rig was used, consisting of a "live-lined" nightcrawler and a single split shot. The day was highly productive, with several largemouth bass also being caught, along with a pickerel. There were also many large fish that had snapped lines due to both their sizes and movements into deep cover. It had been predicted by DiJulio earlier within the year that this season in Maryland would be one of the most productive for fishermen.
