Worlds first US6 million rowboat
New York City, New York - As reported in the oil-rich Emirate of Abu Dhabi, The National newspaper Friday's edition, Victor Mooney, of Queens, an eccentric charity fund-raiser, is planning two sea crossings aboard "the world's most expensive rowing boat"- named The Spirit of Zayed, in what he says is a homage to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, the founder of the United Arab Emirates. The custom rowboat will have gold plates mounted on the hull. Later this year, Victor Mooney, a college administrator, hopes to cross the Atlantic from Dakar to New York before flying to Djibouti and tackling the pirate-infested Gulf of Aden to complete his odyssey in Abu Dhabi.
I am humbled that the Holy Father has given me this vision to row across the Atlantic Ocean and raise awareness about two things that are killing our world and humankind, and to honour Sheikh Zayed, a man who is definitely the father of his nation," said Mr. Mooney.
