Communities In Schools of NC Announces WalMart As Presenting Sponsor Of Sixth Annual North Carolina Education Ball
(Raleigh, NC) May 22, 2008 - The North Carolina Education Ball, a fundraising event for Communities In Schools of North Carolina (CISNC), once again has the support of major state-wide corporations. Wal-Mart will serve as Presenting Sponsor for this year's Education Ball entitled Mardi Gras, and All That Jazz.
Additional sponsors include GlaxoSmithKline as the H. Glenn Williams Power Of One Award Sponsor, AT&T as the Graeme M. Keith Student Leadership Award Sponsor, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina as the Celebrate Leaders Sponsor, ABC11 WTVD as the Media Sponsor, and RBC Centura as the Invest In Success Sponsor. Platinum Sponsors include Cisco Systems, IBM, Ideopia and Wachovia.
Each year the event brings top elected officials, educators and business leaders to the capital city to commemorate education, as well as enjoy an original concert featuring Broadway and film veterans joined by top student talent from across the state of North Carolina. The annual ball honors educators and those involved with education across the state.
This year's event is chaired by Chairman and CEO of Motricity, Ryan Wuerch and his wife, Shawntel. The 2008 North Carolina Education Ball will take place on June 7, 2008 at the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh, beginning at 6:00.
