Velocix Announces High Calibre Management Appointments to Support Aggressive Expansion Plans

Velocix (www.velocix.com), provider of the world's leading Digital Asset Delivery Network, today announced three senior management appointments, as the company continues its rapid expansion and leadership in the delivery of video, music, software and games over the Internet.

Operating out of the company's Cambridge headquarters, the appointments are: John Lee as Chief Financial Officer, Simon Keen as Senior Vice President, Products, and Richard Timperlake in the role of Vice President of Worldwide Sales. The three new appointments all report directly to Velocix CEO, Phill Robinson.

John Lee - Chief Financial Officer

John Lee brings over 25 years experience to Velocix, with an extensive background in senior management and financial roles gained in multinational businesses and high-growth technology operations. John's experience includes building a number of technology start-ups into successful businesses and raising significant venture funding to create substantial shareholder value. He joins from Cambridge Semiconductor where he served for five years as CFO and Director. Prior to this, John was CFO at a number of emerging technology businesses including Twyford International and Sinclair Research.

Simon Keen - SVP Products

Simon Keen joins Velocix from StreamBase Systems where he was European Technical Director. He has over 25 years industry experience specializing in advanced software systems and in the Content Service Provider industry. Simon has also regularly performed operational and technological assessments and due diligence for venture capital investors. He has also held technical leadership roles at AssetHouse technologies, Cambridge Technology Partners, Netscape, Informix and Sybase. In his new role, Simon is responsible for the design and development of the entire Velocix product portfolio.

Richard Timperlake - VP Worldwide Sales

Richard Timperlake also has over a quarter of a century of expertise in the technology industry, with previous Senior Management experience at Siebel Systems and Hewlett Packard. Most recently he was UK Sales Director at SAS, a leading Enterprise Intelligence provider whom he joined in 2005. During his time at SAS, Richard completed a major sales reorganization rebuilding the sales, pre-sales and sales management teams, which resulted in over 45% growth and revenues exceeding $140m.
