PresenterNet Announces CrossPlatformMultiBrowser Capabilities
PresenterNet, provider of online interactive Web presentation services, today announced the company's support of applications across most of the industry's most popular Web browsers and online computing platforms.
In a paper entitled "Presenting Online Across Multiple Platforms and Browsers" the company staked out its position regarding compatibility with both Windows-PC and Macintosh, and support for such browsers as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Netscape Navigator. The complete report is available at http://www.presenternet.com
Commenting on the new announcement, PresenterNet CEO Doug Wolfgram stated, "All vendors in this industry need to operate across platforms, and embrace open-source browsers like Firefox. Web Conferencing and Online Presentations reach thousands of first-time users every day. To better serve our users, we must ensure that anyone can join an online event instantly, without downloading and installing special plug-in software, or complying with rigid technical requirements."
The PresenterNet report explains that online services must offer broad compatibility to all presenters as well as audience members. "Users at all levels need to consider their online presentation capability as being automatic, regardless of the system from which they are presenting or participating as audience members. We are especially sensitive to this requirement, because we offer interactive slides that capture and store responses from audience members. Fortunately, our architecture permits us to meet new requirements as browsers like Firefox gain popularity."
