The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.

Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation will aid the Academy of Art University in strengthening and upholding its world class education, as well as continuing to
ensure the educational community, general public and other organizations that the Academy of Art University is committed to achieving the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.
The prestigious accreditation means that the Academy of Art University joins a highly respected community of educational institutions in the region, as well as nationally. It is now
eligible to be included in national surveys, rankings and directories that help students select colleges and universities.
