We'sve all heard the evidence that TV is losing advertisers and that more and more advertising is going onto targetted sites and blogs on the Internet.
Jim Symcox, MD Acorn Service the Business Growth Copywriter, notes We'sve seen blogs taking a lot of Adsense money and of course web sites are still doing the same. We think that
consumers are less willing to simply accept interruptions by adverts. They have to be looking for what the adverts are showing or telling.
The blogging wave is only a very simple way of managing the content for a simple web site. It'ss likely that blogs and web sites will converge - after all a number of sites already have
blog pages as part of the site. As they do the money available to each site with their highly targetted readers garnered through highly specific niche blogs is going to grow.
As Symcox says, why throw money at millions of people if your market is in the thousands and all subscribe to one or two blog/web site combinations It makes sense for ad dollars to be
wisely spent on a target market.
Acorn Service is suggesting that businesses need to take an audit of where they'sre spending their money in the next 8-12 months so they can get ahead of their competitors.
Acorn Service run a number of blogs in different niches and use one main one for their own thoughts: http://www.acornservice.blogspot.com
