Countrywide Extends Successful Americas Open House Campaign



Responding to the high demand of its successful "America's Open House" initiative launched in September, Countrywide Home Loans, Inc. (www.countrywide.com) options.



"The positive response to this campaign has been overwhelming, and we are pleased that Countrywide can continue to help more individuals and families realize the American dream of homeownership through this effort," said Dan Hanson, managing director of Countrywide Home Loans. "It is just one more way that we work together with local real estate professionals and builders to deliver one-stop convenience for potential home buyers and help them make informed, responsible decisions about their mortgages."



Through America's Open House, more than 7,000 of Countrywide's loan experts have joined forces with local real estate agents at weekend open houses since September 29 to educate home buyers about the basics of the real estate market and give them the tools they need to shop for a home loan. Countrywide representatives also are visiting new home sales offices and working with home builders to provide the same types of services and information.



"This educational initiative not only benefits home buyers, but it also helps our valued business partners better serve their customers - so everyone wins in seizing the opportunities of this buyer's market," noted Hanson. "We've met a number of potential buyers who were disillusioned by media reports and had nearly abandoned their dream of owning a home, but since America's Open House they have gained confidence by better understanding their options and knowing that they can turn to a lender they trust. Many also have been pleasantly surprised by the range of home financing solutions still available and the prospect of financing the home of their dreams."



As part of the campaign, Countrywide's home loan consultants outline specific mortgage options tailored to the open-house properties they visit and have tools on hand to provide qualified open house visitors with mortgage pre-approvals. By arming home shoppers with pre-approvals, Countrywide aims to help them shop with the increased confidence of knowing up front how much house they can afford.



America's Open House underscores Countrywide's mission to offer a wide range of mortgage solutions to suit qualified buyers' individual needs and financial situations.
