Conrad M. Hall, president and CEO of Dominion Enterprises, a leading marketing services company, has announced that he will step down from his current role at the end of January 2009. His successor will soon be announced.
Hall said that This is an ideal time to change Dominion'ss leadership now that the sales process of the company has been discontinued for the foreseeable future. Hall noted that the
company has been reinvented from its early years of total dependence on classified advertising and is now a highly diversified marketing company offering technology-based products and
services.
Hall has almost 40 years of experience in the media industry and for the last 20 years he has served as president and CEO of Dominion Enterprises and its predecessors, Trader Publishing
Company and Landmark Target Media. He began his career at Landmark Communications, Inc. and held a number of positions including vice president of operations of The Virginian-Pilot and
The Ledger-Star, vice president of Human Resources for Landmark and executive vice president and chief financial officer.
He is active in the community and currently serves on the Board of Visitors of Old Dominion University where he serves as chairman of the Administrative and Finance Committee; the Board
of Directors of Access College Foundation where he serves as chairman of the Finance 's38; Investment Committee; and the Boards of Directors of the Greater Norfolk Corporation, Norfolk
Academy, The Mariners's Museum, Children'ss Hospital of The Kings Daughters, and Virginia Historical Society. He is a past president of The VMI Foundation, Inc. where he continues to
serve as a trustee and chairman of the VMI Investment Committee.
Hall'ss education includes a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and an MBA from the Darden School of the University of Virginia. He served as an
artillery officer in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968.
