Nancy R. Koerner, author of Belize Survivor: Darker Side of Paradise, and Randi James, advocate for Women'ss Issues and champion against Domestic Violence have paired up to present the first online rendering of Koerner'ss book since its physical publication by NK Marketing in the spring of 2007.
Randi James's website is dedicated to domestic violence victims, survivors, support persons and advocates. Its purpose is to create a sense of community and to acquire a unique
understanding for those on the journey. As a personal blog, James does not commit to censorship, and her writing displays the realism of the continuous tribulations faced by those dealing
with domestic violence and sexual assault. The information contained within may be offensive at times, says James, and it may appear somewhat schizophrenic when contrasted with
pseudo-civil society straining to categorize events extraordinary to provincial folk. But I am a woman with a mission. I have a story to tell and the time is now.
Koerner, who experienced violent domestic abuse against a paradoxical backdrop of tropical splendor, and did so without the benefit of shelters or legal advocacy, shares this same
passion. Together these women hope their stories will spark a fire amidst the masses.
Starting on December 3rd, Belize Survivor: Darker Side of Paradise will be posted on www.randijames.com on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The
episodes will not contain full chapters, but rather be kept short for maximum impact and suspense. Spanning twenty years, the saga of Belize Survivor, based on Koerner'ss own true story,
tracks her amazing twenty-year journey of colorful jungle adventure, natural disaster, extraordinary beauty, heartbreak, survival, spiritual growth, and eventual triumph.
Belize Survivor: Darker Side of Paradise is currently available for purchase at online and retail bookstores. All Direct-Order-from-the-Author purchases made from http://www.belizesurvivor.com/buy_book.html are personally signed and inscribed, and a portion of the proceeds benefits the Shelter for
Abused Women and Children of Naples. As a charismatic
motivational speaker, Ms. Koerner is also available for book-signings and presentations.
