June 4, 2006 -- Rock star bragging rights are up for grabs once again as Fluid Battle of the Ad-Bands IV issues its Call For Entries. The musical competition, a benefit for New York City
public schools, is every bit as intense as battles waged daily in the advertising world. Agencies large and small are invited to compete, however, the Fluid Battle of the Ad-Bands IV is
limited to only 10 bands. Contenders must submit an entry form, available at www.fluidny.com/adband, before the Friday, July 14, 2006 deadline.
Eligibility requirements are available at the website.
The competition serves as a forum for agencies to demonstrate creative talent via a nontraditional medium and is sponsored by Fluid, the American Association of Advertising Agencies
(AAAA) and the Newspaper Association of America (NAA), in association with Advertising Week 2006.
The Fluid Battle of the Ad-Bands IV is a head-to-head-banging competition of musical prowess, which places the vision and talent of ad agencies, large or small, center stage. Bands
comprised of agency staffers 's8211; be they creative directors, copywriters, art directors, account reps or mailroom workers - perform short, high-energy sets. The 2006 battle will be
held again this year at The Supper Club, in the Heart of New York City's8217;s Theater District, on Wednesday, September 27. Although the battle is waged in Manhattan, each of the
previous Fluid Battle of the Ad-Band competitions was won by creative shops far from Madison Avenue. In 2005 and 2004 Pants!, from McKinney (Durham, NC), ruled the night. The 2003 contest
went to Ironic Trucker Hat from Crispin Porter + Bogusky (Miami, FL). Is your agency up to the challenge
Proceeds from the evening will once again benefit music programs in New York City public schools. 's8220;In four short years, this event has become the biggest, most exciting party in the
ad industry. Each year the bands are better, the competition fiercer, tickets scarcer and the money we raise for charity greater. Battle IV will definitely crank up the volume and have
everyone rockin's8217;,'s8221; promises David Shapiro of Fluid, the co-creator and organizer of the event.
