A new booklet, published by independent copywriter and advertising consultant Amanda Eaton, reveals 21 strategies for creating ads that generate more inquires, leads, sales, and profits, for advertisers.
The booklet "21 ways to get more inquires from your ads", is available to business executives, entrepreneurs, advertising professionals, and students. The cost is $4.00.
Amanda said she originally wrote the booklet for companies and ad agencies that need to see more of a bottom-line return from "image" and awareness.
"There's no reason an image campaign can't also generate leads as well as awareness," Says Amanda, 'high quality inquires mean more sales and profits, and they also provide a way of
measuring response."
The booklet presents 21 ways to increase any ads pulling power without destroying the basic concept or interfering with communication of the key message.
Some of the inquiry-producing techniques presented in the booklet include:
Offer free information--a booklet, brochure, catalog, and price list, order form--in every ad you write.
Give your literature piece a title that implies value, "product guides sounds better than catalog", notes Amanda "planning kit implies greater value than sales brochures."
For a full-page ad, use a coupon; according to Amanda " this will increase response 25 to 100 percent."
Make the coupon large enough so that there is plenty of room for prospects to write in their names and address. "Tiny coupons drive people crazy" notes Amanda.
In a fractional ad, put a heavy dashed border around the ad. " This creates a coupon like appearance, which in turn stimulates response" explains Amanda
Offer something freesuch as a free product sample, free report, free video or audio-cassette, free analysis, free consultation, free estimate, free seminar, free demonstration, or free
trail.
Says Amanda: "by modifying existing ads using the techniques outlined in this booklet, advertisers can increase response to their ads 20 to 100 percent--without destroying the basic
concept and theme of their campaign."
