New Website Hopes to Revolutionize Utah Real Estate



BlueRoof, a real estate brokerage that hopes to change the real estate industry, launched BlueRoof.com in July and today reports over thirty homes have been put under contract, twenty listings taken and four offers submitted online during it'ss first forty five days in business.



Consumers today want the help of a Realtor, but they don'st want to pay the traditionally high commissions. We offer full service representation and a more complete marketing strategy than most brokers, and we offer our services for much less commission. Buyers actually make money when we help them buy a home, because we pay them for using our services. And our mortgage company, BlueRoof Mortgage will pay the buyer for getting their loan through us, says Greg Tracy, founder of BlueRoof.



BlueRoof.com showcases every listed property from our local MLS along with For Sale By Owner homes on our map-based search and allows people who find a home on their own to make an offer right on our website and receive 50% of the buyer agent commission, which is usually 3% of the sales price. Tracy continues, Over three hundred for sale by owner homes are currently on BlueRoof and because we don'st charge anything for this service, we have people adding new homes every day.



Mike Reid was the first buyer to make an offer through the BlueRoof website. My wife and I enjoyed looking for homes on our own and when we heard that BlueRoof pays fifty percent of the commission if you find the home on your own, we got excited. Reid continued, And they helped us with the offer and coordinated everything for us all through closing so we always felt taken care of. And they sold our house for four percent total commission and we sold it for full price in less than a week.
