Coming from a childhood racked by poverty and mental illness in the family, Kaleo'ss optimistic spirit which he is now sharing with the world is a revelation and inspiration to anyone who has ever been challenged from the start. His life has been filled with obstacles, but he has always seemed to rise above all the possible stumbling blocks and created a quarry of positive stepping stones along the way. He received a full scholarship to art schools so he could study visual art, earned a Bachelor'ss Degree and having never played organized football, made the UCLA college football team as a walk-on. He later worked as a teacher in the Pasadena Unified School District.
