Additionally, Orange publishes a free weekly newsletter called "The Juice", featuring comprehensive city-by city listings of wine, beer, spirits, food events -- from a champagne and chocolate pairing in Austin, to a "smelly cheese" and wine tasting in New York -- plus informative articles, trivia, quizzes and much more. Reflecting the growing interest in food and wine events, Orange's newsletter is rapidly approaching the 100,000 subscriber mark. In fact, wine educators, schools and events hosts have repeatedly pointed out to Orange that the LocalWineEvents reach has been a key factor in their success.



Besides allowing users to advertise their upcoming events for free, the site also provides a secure online ticketing service which has sold over 2 million tickets. "We offer a free RSVP 'head count' feature which alerts the event organizers with an Excel attendee list they can use at the door," says Orange. LocalWineEvents allows wine shops and restaurants to broadly market their events to locals and visitors on travel, who may have a free evening to attend an event.



Orange holds a certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers and a Master of Wine Education certification from the International Wine Guild. He is a member of the Society of Wine Educators and previously served on the board of the American Institute of Wine and Food, Denver Chapter.
