Search Behavior Research is being Conducted by the Communication Students...

The students of San Diego State University are compiling a research about search behavior online. With the collaboration of Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) and eMarketer, SDSU students are promoting a survey that is now open online. We believe that as a student, it is essential to know the market to be an effective communicator.

The goal of the research is to know how the use of directories comes to play in the search environment. Specifically, we want to understand how marketers are looking for other marketing vendors online. We are looking to understand the process and the directories that dominate the market. The first step of this project consists of a five-minute survey.

There will be no compensation to fill out the survey and this work is not intended for profit, but for educational purposes.

The success of this project relies uniquely on the good will of the marketers who can donate five minutes of their time. In exchange, the findings of the research will be shared with those marketers that are participating in the project by taking the survey.
