Phoenix-based boutique agency Sugar Creative __title__ Sugar site link (http://www.sugarcreative.com)announced today that it has launched a new Web site called ShameOnSugar.com.
The new Web site is a not-to-loosely based parody of the current banners one might see at major intersections throughout the Valley and many other cities in the States. The street banners
display the words "Shame On" in big red letters with the target of the indignity named directly below the public finger-wagging.
ShameOnSugar.com provides its users with the ability to create a custom Shame On banner that they can send to anyone with an e-mail address. Simply fill out the form fields indicating the
Shame On target, supply a short background on the target and their heinous deeds, supply the e-mails for intended recipients and press send.
"We thought the ability to publicly call shame upon a company, person, animal or otherwise shouldn't just fall to those who have the money to print a huge sign and hire a bunch of people
to hold it in the blistering Arizona heat," said Doug Cholewa, managing partner of Sugar Creative. "We wanted to extend that right to everyone who's got a beef with someone--about
anything."
The Web site is the first in a series of small marketing campaigns Sugar Creative will be developing over the next year. The new site and its future elements are a demonstration of
Sugar's unique ability to create effective marketing campaigns that get people talking.
"As traditional marketing becomes more expensive and less effective, it's never been more important to develop new ways of reaching your audience," said Jason Scott, managing partner of
Sugar Creative. "The interactive, viral and community-led quality of ShameOnSugar.com is exactly what makes it non-traditional."
The second phase of the ShameOnSugar Web site will include a searchable database of current and past Shame On banners, a Mad Lib section for generating more comprehensive background
stories on targets, a storefront for creating and purchasing custom Shame On paraphernalia, and much more.
