TennTrips.com Plans Expansion



Currently, TennTrips.com offers information on thousands of tourism related businesses in Tennessee.



Expansion plans are to cover South Carolina which is currently in progress, North Carolina and Georgia which will follow shortly after completion South Carolina.



The process will take some time, since I'sm a 'sone man operation's. Information is pulled from several different sources including site submissions from business owners. As with our current set-up, there is no charge for the listings we place. Explains Mike Hendrickson, Owner and programmer for the site.



Free listings make us unique in the business, in such that we are not limiting the smaller mom and pop operations from getting listed because they can'st afford the extra advertising expense.



This model has served well in that it allows us to have a much larger base of information than sites that charge for their advertisement. The greatest advantage to this is that the visitors can use TennTrips as a 'sOne Stop Shop's.



Businesses allowed to list for free are ANY tourism related business in the listed states in the following categories: Attractions, Dining, Lodging, Shopping, and Transportation Rentals (including bicycles).



Businesses can also place photographs or brochures in the photo gallery free of charge. Live web cams are also available here, and a business with a web cam can even have theirs included here.



Visitors are not only offered information on the listed services, but are provided links to the business Web Site, when available, and a brief promotional blurb that is provided by the business.



Detailed weather is provided including regional live radar, and forecast information.



Hotel reservation services are available on the site through an affiliate program. The reservation services help offset the cost of running the site.
