The Canvas Project has launched http://www.canvasproject.com, a unique advertising concept that provides online businesses with the means to
gain real world exposure at a high traffic location. Until now, online businesses have been burdened with either the cost and logistical headaches of traditional advertising or the
relative ineffectiveness of online banner advertising. By combining the positive attributes of both, the Canvas Project sets the stage for a one of a kind ad campaign that is sure to
attract attention.
The Canvas Project is a two part advertisement service. Advertisers will be able to reserve ad space on a virtual canvas on the Canvas Project website. Upon purchase of all ad space on
the virtual canvas, a high resolution version will be transferred onto a real canvas, professionally finished and framed, and displayed at the Palisades Center, the largest shopping,
dining, and entertainment hub in the New York / New Jersey metropolitan area.
The online portion of the Canvas Project will employ several features for advertisers to take advantage of. When a visitor hovers the mouse cursor over an ad, it will display a brief text
description of the corresponding company. A click of the mouse will send the visitor to the company'ss website. The Canvas Project has also taken into
consideration the needs of businesses both big and small by providing a variety of options for companies that wish to tailor ad sizes to their individual specifications.
Once the collage of advertisements is transferred onto canvas, it will measure approximately 42 inches tall and 37 inches wide. After framing, the canvas will then be displayed at the
Palisades Center in the affluent Rockland County area, just minutes from New York City. The Palisades Center is a four story shopping center with just under 3 million square feet of
retail floor space. The Canvas Project hopes to glorify commerce in the Information Age with true commercial art, not just an advertisement.
10% of all earnings will be donated to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
