Txtlocal Innovates Twitter and RSS Updates

Txtlocal (http://www.txtlocal.co.uk/) today extends its range of services online at http://www.txtlocal.co.uk/ with the launch of a full SMS integration with popular micro blogging site Twitter and bespoke news/information service RSS.

Txtlocal'ss own in-house technical team have developed a unique add-on to allow updates to an individual'ss Twitter page via text. Twitter has become phenomenally successful, with thousands signing up every day to the popular micro-blogging site. The integration into Txtlocal'ss critically acclaimed control panel allows 'stweeters's to keep up to date on the people they follow or update their followers by simply sending or receiving a text. It works on all UK networks and across the world. The Txtlocal'ss control panel also enables a 'stweet's update to be sent to a group of contacts, directly via SMS.

Another significant development with Txtlocal'ss renowned control panel is full RSS integration, this allows customers to receive an RSS feed as a text message directly to their mobile handset. It can also include a WAP link to the full article.

RSS, or Really Simple Syndication feeds, allow information to be published frequently in standardised formats, information such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video. Feeds can be set up from a desktop PC, through the Txtlocal control panel, when they are updated a text message is automatically sent to selected mobile phones, keeping you informed wherever you are. The control panel also gives the option of sending a link to the full feed, so people can receive the full information through their WAP browser on the mobile phone.

These services are great extensions to Txtlocal'ss existing portfolio, according to MD Darren Daws Txtlocal has already become the market leader in sending bulk marketing SMS texts, we intend to keep introducing new features to ensure our services always meet our customers's requirements, communication is so important to all companies these days. The new RSS and Twitter updates allow organisations to use their mobile handset to send and receive even more information than ever, meaning they will always know what is going on.

Founded in 2005, based on the Chester business park, Txtlocal have a wide range of customers amongst its 30,000 organisations currently using its services, including; Intel, Subway and Nationwide Building Society.
