USACouponClubcom ReLaunches Open To The Public



May 13, 2005 -- USACouponClub.com is now completely free to visitors to search for discounts and for businesses to post their discounts. USACouponClub.com is an online directory of businesses that offer money-saving opportunities in 56 cities, such as coupons, specials, clearance items, outlet pricing, and promotional sales. The majority of the discounts they catalog come from local and regional businesses.



After trying various revenue models, USACouponClub.com believes opening the website to everyone will increase exposure and usage. "We've always allowed businesses to post their discounts and coupons at no cost. It is what gave our members the largest selection of discounts on the Internet. Opening the site up to the public will allow anyone with Internet access the ability to save money, no cost or sign-in required," said Jim Glynn, President of USA Coupon Club.



By switching from a membership model, that served both individuals and businesses, to an open and free website, USACouponClub.com will add banner advertising spots focused at local businesses as the main revenue model.



"We've added spots on each page for local businesses to add their banner ads. The cost is very affordable, even for the smallest business. Consumers are going to the Internet first to find discounts and research pricing. Advertising on USACouponClub.com puts them in front of consumers already looking to purchase a product or service," said Glynn.



Making USACouponClub.com a public website further elevates them in a niche that the major search engines have yet to venture. Yahoo, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, AskJeeves, AOL, and several smaller search engines are looking to attract local businesses to advertise on their sites, but none of them offers a discount/coupon directory.



"It's no secret that the large search engines are targeting local businesses to sell them on the Pay-Per-Click ads as well as their small business services, but none of them offer a searchable discount directory, especially for local businesses. With 75% of consumers using coupons during the year, they are missing a great opportunity to give their users more. USACouponClub.com has taken the time to find the savings. Now that our site will be open to all, everyone will have an opportunity to save money," said Glynn.



One point Glynn wants to stress is that they are not like comparison shopping websites that track what products are on sale and often times have feedback forms for consumers.



"Our tracking method is simple. We find the discounts either on the website of the business or other third party websites and then we point our members in the right direction to find the deal. We list the business in the right category so it's easy to find," said Glynn.



For businesses with established discounts, they can upload them directly. For smaller businesses that might not have the budget to create a discount, USACouponClub.com offers a template to create a discount with logo and contact information, still at no cost.



As for the future, USACouponClub.com has some ambitious goals. Currently, USACouponClub.com currently tracks 6,000+ businesses offering discounts in 56 U.S. markets. The site contains $380,000+ in available discounts spanning 100 categories and growing. Glynn says they are looking at adding other business services, more markets, and venture funding for an aggressive advertising campaign.
