QuadTech, a leading provider of electrical safety test and passive component measurement solutions, today released CaptivATE 3.3, the latest version of their automation software. The release of CaptivATE 3.3 addresses industry needs and demands, including its biggest operational enhancement - the ability to retain memory locations with offset.
Previously, if CaptivATE was shutdown or an operator signed off, the safety test and the offsets would have to be reloaded once testing resumed. With CaptivATE 3.3'ss ability to retain
memory locations, once the test is initially loaded and the offsets are programmed, the operator will not have to wait for them to reload again.
CaptivATE 3.3 also offers automatic serialization. This feature automatically provides tested products with a new and unique serial number which will help increase throughput and save
overall testing time.
To make CaptivATE 3.3 more user-friendly, administrators and engineers can now provide document recall during testing for operators. This feature is a more advanced version of CaptivATE
3.2'ss virtual pause, but will now allow word documents, PDFs, pictures or any other documents to be opened and displayed during testing.
Robert M. Brown, QuadTech'ss Vice President of Technical Operations, believes this is one of CaptivATE 3.3'ss strongest enhancements. Document retrieval adds a more advanced instructional
capability to the testing procedure. Operators will now be able to view instructions, procedures and pictures during testing. This means companies can take advantage of standard operating
procedures (SOP) or Work Instructions that already exist for their operations. The document recall feature will also help reduce operator error.
For medical device manufacturers, CaptivATE 3.3 offers improved password protection features including password aging, stronger passwords and idle log-off. Added security features were
implemented to help medical device manufacturers better comply with CFR 21-11 standards and ensure the safety and security of their electronic data. Data can now be outputted to a CSV or
XML file.
The 1730T LCR Meter is the latest product to be supported by CaptivATE software. In addition to the 1730T, the following QuadTech products are CaptivATE enabled: All Sentinel Systems,
Guardian 6100 Plus Electrical Safety Analyzer, Guardian 6100 Electrical Safety Analyzer, Guardian 6000 Plus Electrical Safety Analyzer, Guardian 6000 Electrical Safety Tester, Guardian
