Detroit, MI November 15, 2008 -- In a city whose reputation was built on its musical accomplishments, rappers seem to come a dime a dozen. Fortunately for talented emcees Tha Paypa Boiz, the support of major artists such as Elzhi of Slum Village, MC Breed, the Outlawz and Kurupt, have catapulted them to a level of recognition not yet attained by many of their counterparts.



Composed of Big Isz and Arcane, Tha Paypa Boiz are powerful, charismatic artists that will deliver the Street Newz Vol. I. Boasting banging tracks featuring Lady Blade, Elzhi of Slum Village, Young Noble of The Outlawz, Paypa Boi Entertainment will release, Street Newz Vol. I in stores November 18, 2008.



Big Isz and Arcane'ss gritty, authentic lyrics paint a true picture of their environment blue collar grind, but the popular lead single Get Away is a smooth, sexy offering that inspires ghetto lovers to escape the rigors of the day-today grind. Tracks like Gimme Whut U Got and Ain'st No Party epitomize true Detroit club-bangers, while Dirty Glove is a rhythmic tale of Motown living. The tracks on Street Newz Vol I are cleverly assembled, creatively told and seriously worthy of listening.



DJ Lenn Swann, the label'ss in-house producer and a master turntablist, produced many of the cuts on Street Newz Vol. Swann has competed, placed, and won several DJ competitions throughout the world. He was awarded a triple platinum plaque for scratching on Eminem'ss hit song Bonnie and Clyde. Swann also produced tracks for Slum Village and D12. Other producers lending their skills to Tha Paypa Boiz sound include Kawtion, Kerry Clark, Mr. Wax and DJ Dez of Slum Village.



The original Street Newz is a hot compilation featuring the original Paypa Boi MC Breed, Kurupt and Mastamind of Natas. Since its debut, the LP has sold thousands of units worldwide and continues to gain momentum. Street Newz Vol. I is poised to make an impact and will be distributed by Select-O-Hits.

About Paypa Boi Entertainment



In 2003, Russell Kawtion Colvin Jr. launched Paypa Boi Entertainment. Arcane, the remaining member of Kawtion'ss Fallen Angelz Entertainment roster, as well as the legendary MC Breed, his cousin Boo Boo Breed and Big Isz began recording as Tha Paypa Boiz. As a major player in Detroit'ss Hip Hop scene, Kawtion signed on as MC Breed'ss manager. Throughout this period, he managed to get Breed featured on Slum Village'ss major label effort Detroit Deli, and landed him a recording contract with ICP'ss Psychopathic Records.



On top of being a CEO, manager, writer and producer, Kawtion started doing street promotion for Activate Records based in Hollywood, CA. Activate is the home of Chino XL, Spice One, Big Hutch of Above the Law and Thug Lordz. After proving himself to the label, Activate decided to provide worldwide distribution for Fallen Angelz and Paypa Boi entertainment. In 2006, Activate re-released Dice'ss Black Monday worldwide and released Tha Paypa Boiz Street Newz.
