Sylvia's Restaurant's 45th Anniversary celebration salutes Harlem with an outdoor enrichment festival, complete with free food, marching band, entertainment, and informational seminars covering education, finance and health.
New York, NY August 1, 2007 -- Sylvia's Restaurant, The Queen of Soul food (http://www.sylviasrestaurant.com) consisting of smothered chicken, grits and biscuits. This milestone anniversary will officially announce via proclamation from the City Council Woman Inez Dickens office the renaming of 126th Street and Lenox Avenue to "Sylvia Woods Way." The second half of the day will kick-off at noon, with an old fashion block party that will enrich and entertain the community in the areas of health, education and finance. The celebration also serves as a kick-off to SHWSF October 18th Fundraiser.
