Cleveland Tank has announced new, D.O.T. certified aluminum, rectangular diesel fuel tanks (http://www.clevelandtank.com/aluminum-rectangular-tanks.html). The rectangular fuel tank allows maximum capacity, carrying 25% more fuel than a cylindrical tank in the same space. Aluminum tanks offer significant weight savings and corrosion resistance over steel tanks. The weight savings generate fuel economy, and increased fuel capacity improves operating efficiency with fewer refill stops. The improved corrosion resistance of an aluminum tank reduces maintenance. Many customers are using the aluminum tanks as replacements to the original steel tanks provided by major original equipment manufacturers.
The new line of tanks are currently certified for side-mount applications, with models from 30 to 100 gallon capacities. Cleveland Tank also provides mounting kits for these and other
tanks.
Cleveland Tank can also design a certified tank to the user'ss specifications to provide the greatest fuel payload within the available tank space. Fill neck, anti-siphon, sight gauges,
drain check valves, sumps, draw tube(s), fuel return, vents and drain fittings can all be oriented to deliver the best solution for the customer'ss fuel delivery needs. Said one customer,
Combining the tank weight savings with increased fuel capacity enabled us to hit the fuel supply targets our sales group needed.
