ASD Inc. Introduces QualitySpec KB Analyzer New Process Optimization for Paper and Pulp Industry



ASD Inc. (http://www.asdi.com) introduces the QualitySpec K-B (http://www.asdi.com/products-QSK-B.asp) NIR Analyzer, an industry first total solution for simultaneous at-line measurement of Kappa number and brightness on wet pulp at multiple process locations. The QualitySpec K-B allows for tighter, more accurate process control, and the ability to feed forward / feed back information on Kappa number and Brightness.

"With the QualitySpec K-B system, the Paper and Pulp Industry has a new tool for process optimization which increases the frequency of in-process measurements, while greatly reducing the need for wet chemistry requiring consumable toxic chemicals," says Chris Pederson, ASD technical specialist for paper and pulp applications. "More frequent testing drastically reduces the consumption of delignification and bleaching chemicals and waste, and product consistency is maximized, potentially saving each mill hundreds of thousands of dollars annually."
