May 22, 2005 -- Announcing the release of the Mettler Toledo Xpress XRT Price Computing Scale for the retail marketplace. Boasting such functionality as 100 PLUs, 24 presets and a backlit display, this new scale augments the existing Mettler Toledo Xpress product line.



Complete with a Mettler Toledo precision load cell, the Xpress XRT gives reliability and complete accuracy with every use. A 32-button keyboard with both tare and zero keys makes this product very user-friendly. Accumulation, total price holding and fraction functions also are advanced features found on the Xpress XRT. Operator display features of the XRT include backlit LCD displays with large, easy-to-read digits showing unit price, total price and a smart battery indicator. The price computing scale is powered by either an AC power adapter or six D-cell batteries. Application areas include mobile businesses, fruits and vegetables, meats and cheese, delicatessens, confectionary, coffee and tea, portion control and many more.



The XRT is NTEP approved and will be available in both 30 pound and 60 pound capacities, making it ideal for many retail applications.
