DeviceVM and Lenovo Expand the Range of Quick Start Netbooks



DeviceVM, the maker of the award-winning Splashtop's8482; instant-on platform, announced that Splashtop is now shipping on the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 netbook. This expands the range of Lenovo netbooks with instant on functionality to include the popular global consumer netbook line. Lenovo has branded Splashtop software as Quick Start on their products. Lenovo first introduced Quick Start in October on the IdeaPad S10e, a netbook targeted at the education market.

With Splashtop, IdeaPad users can surf the Web, check email, chat online or video conference seconds after turning on their netbooks, all without starting a traditional operating system. In addition, the Quick Start environment provides an easy way for IdeaPad users to connect to other Quick Start users and share ideas, using a feature called Lenovo Social Media.
