Can Christie Brinkleys Public Trial Help Her Get Revenge on a Cheating Mate

Christie Brinkley's upcoming divorce trial has caused much speculation about whether or not Christie is using the public trial to get revenge on her cheating husband, Peter Cook.

The divorce hearing, which begins tomorrow, was initiated by Christie Brinkley in 2006, after learning of Cook's extramarital affair with his then 18-year-old office assistant Diana Bianchi.

According to one infidelity expert, this may be the latest wrinkle in getting even with a cheating mate.

Is Christie Out for Revenge

Cook's attorney, Norman Sheresky, insists that Christie's request for a public trial was motivated by revenge. He says she's only interested in paying Cook back for cheating on her.

An unnamed source claims that Christie is still "spitting mad" at her soon-to-be ex.

Christie's attorney, Robert S. Cohen, however, has hinted that other factors may be involved. He says that having the divorce hearing open to the public is the only way to restore Christie's reputation and present the unfiltered truth.

Is Christie Justified in Wanting to Get Revenge
