Bags and Little Whistles 2006 Nude Calendar

's8220;Bags and little Whistles's8221; 2006 Nude Whistle & Pipe Calendar is here and causing a quite a stir! Hot on the heels of 's8220;Pulling Out All the Stops's8221; 2004 Nude Accordion Calendar and last year's8217;s 's8220;No Strings Attached's8221;, this year's8217;s calendar carries on the silliness and attempt to answer the question: What do pipe players wear under their kilts

Twelve of Newfoundland & Labrador's8217;s best whistle and pipe players, including Gordon Cormier, Daniel Payne, Jim Fidler and Gerry Strong reveal something of themselves in this spicy calendar. Award winning photographer, Sheilagh O's8217;Leary captures intimate and amusing portraits of these daring musicians, as they face the wilds of downtown St. John's8217;s, the freezing Atlantic or their own bathtub all in the name of a good cause.

The calendar is available at O'sBrien'ss Music, Fred'ss Records, Living Planet, the Downhomer and at the St. John's8217;s Folk Arts Council office. A fundraiser for the St. John'ss Folk Arts Council, the cost is $20.

The St. John's8217;s Folk Arts Council is a non-profit organization that has been active in the cultural life of Newfoundland and Labrador since 1966. They host and organize events all year long, including the Annual Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Festival at Bannerman Park in August, the Annual St. John's8217;s Storytelling Festival in November, a weekly folk night and other concerts and special events, all with the goal of celebrating Newfoundland & Labrador's8217;s unique cultural heritage. The mandate of the SJFAC is to promote the Folk Arts in Newfoundland and Labrador and throughout Canada; foster creative expression of those arts; and to further the cause of good intergroup relationships.
