Cinespace Mixers Make Meeting Entertainment Crowd A Breeze

Hollywood, California June 8, 2006 -- June 6, 2006 Popular Hollywood hangout Cinespace is launching a new bi-monthly mixer event called Cinema to facilitate business and social networking amongst entertainment industry professionals in Southern California. In conjunction with meetup.com these free and open-to-the-public mixers will take place every other Thursday, beginning June 15th, 2006 at 7:00 PM. The event will include networking, and amenities such as drink specials, a free dessert to attendees, light refreshments, and a business card drawing for a free dinner at each event.



We are confident that these events will serve as a non-intimidating way for industry professionals to not only meet and network for business, but also to form lasting personal relationships as well with an event that has literally a built-in icebreaker, says Tiffiny Kaye Whitney, the organizer of the event.



Citing her own experiences when she first moved to Los Angeles, and her disillusionment at a perceived difficulty in locating new friends with common interests, Whitney joined another entertainment mixer run by Debbie Gonzalez through the website www.meetup.com. The Gonzalez entertainment group sponsors its own free mixers once a month at various venues in and around Los Angeles. Viewing that mixer as not only a business networking opportunity, but also a social outlet, Whitney welcomed the opportunity to take on the offshoot mixer project when the Gonzalez mixer was approached by Cinespace with the possibility.
