Indie Filmmakers Get Caught with their Pants Down at PodCast Expo

Las Vegas-based filmmaker troop, Smidgits, spun heads last weekend when they stormed the 2nd Annual Podcast and Portable Media Expo in Ontario California with a fictitious news reporter named Curb Stevens. Stevens, played by Smidgits Actor Jimmy Germano was not wearing any pants. Dressed in a suit coat and tie, Jimmy sported a pair of boxer shorts spotted with tiny Smidgits logos. Security immediately jumped in, questioning the filmmakers, but after careful examination of Germano's8217;s attire, it became clear that there was nothing in violation of any city indecency ordinances. The filmmakers were cleared to enter the convention hall where they proceeded to interview conventioneers and vendors of the Expo.



Despite a man wearing an Elvis Chicken suit and a Scottish fellow in a kilt, the Smidgits team gained attention at the expo with Germano's8217;s contagious humor. In one interview, Germano met his match when former Tech TV Co-Host Andy Walker dropped his trousers.Accompanying Germano was Smidgits founder Kelly Schwarze, and partners Ed Dentzel, Mark Johnson and Rey Bucago. The team interviewed close to a hundred different Podcasters including Soccer Girl, the Rumor Girls, PodCast Chicks, and Mugglecast. The filmmakers plan on releasing a series of Germano's8217;s comedic interviews next week on their website.
