Greg London, the master musical impressionist who pays hilarious homage every night to scores of today'ss top musical icons will be bringing his popular and critically acclaimed hit show ICONMAN for one night to the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, on Saturday, October 3, 2009.
London, dubbed the human jukebox, will be giving a special performance at An Evening of Stars, a major fundraising benefit organized by friends and family of 5 year old identical twin
Reno girls, Addi and Cassi Hempel. The Hempel twins are stricken with a rare and deadly cholesterol disease called Niemann Pick Type C, otherwise known as the Childhood Alzheimer'ss.
London will be joined at An Evening of Stars by 5 year old singing sensation, Kaitlyn Maher, the youngest person ever to make it into the Top 10 as a finalist on NBC'ss smash show
America'ss Got Talent and Paul Salos, world famous Frank Sinatra impersonator. Salos's near perfect Ol's Blue Eyes routine has won him many accolades and he was also a 2008 Top 10
finalist on America'ss Got Talent with Mayer.
Addi and Cassi Hempel'ss battle against cholesterol and dementia has been featured nationally on DATELINE NBC, ABC'ss Good Morning America and covered by The Wall Street Journal.
Discoveries into their identical twinship and deadly genetic cholesterol disease may hold the keys to understanding major illnesses impacting millions of people ranging from dementia, to
heart disease to HIV-AIDS infections.
In 2008, The Addi and Cassi Fund Moonlight Garden Gala drew nearly 1000 people to the Downtown Reno Ballroom including world-renown scientists and local dignitaries. Ventriloquist
sensation Terry Fator and former American Idol finalist Melinda Doolittle performed at the 2008 event to raise money for research. With the help of the Silver Legacy casino and scores of
local businesses, the event raised more than $400,000 dollars for critical dementia and cholesterol research.
