Online Singing Contest Website Gives Huge Opportunity toIndependent...

Social media and websites like Facebook and Myspace have dramatically changed the way independent artists are able to promote themselves online. In a similar way, TheNetStar.com is offering a unique way for new artists to get a recording contract valued at over $75,000.

According to the General Manager, Michael J Badagliacco It'ss never been an easier to get a recording contract and the opportunity to work with award winning musicians and engineers before our contest. In the past, winning a publicly voted music contest involved convincing your friends, family and supporters to text or phone or even mail in votes!

Michael says If you'sre on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter or another social platform and you'sve got a picture and an MP3 to upload, you'sre only a few mouse clicks away from submitting an entry, and getting votes.

TheNetStar.com website has just had a complete overhaul and redesign making it easier to navigate, easier to vote, and upload your songs for each contest. Contests are separated into different categories, including Pop, Rock, R's38;B, Gospel, Country and Contemporary Christian. Most entries will find they fit within one of these sections, and the website viewers will decide the rest.

TheNetStar has also started a newsletter which will allow artists, singers and musicians to enter their email address and keep up to date on the contests, even if they'sre not yet ready to upload an MP3 file or video.

Recent Results:

In July, Cathy Griffin from Denver, CO won the Pop/Rock contest, announced on August 1st.

In August, Robert Nevels from Nashville, TN won the R's38;B/Hip Hop, announced on September 1st and so far, Martine Kelsey is leading the Country/CCM vocal competition (http://www.thenetstar.com) still in progress.

For those interested in entering the online singing contest (http://thenetstar.com) at TheNetStar, visit their website at thenetstar.com for details. It'ss easy to get tons of media and attention for those just entering the music scene, even if you don'st win, says Michael.
