Reverend Billys Tent Revival Victorias Dirty Secret in the South Street...

Reverend Billy will take on Victoria'ss Secret for the debut of his new run of Fabulous Worships, which take place inside a supermall. The South Street Seaport houses almost 100 shops, many of them non-local, non-union sweatshop companies. The Seaport epitomizes the suburbanization of New York City.

Working with Forest Ethics, the Reverend and Stop Shopping Gospel Choir will preach and sing about how Victoria'ss Secret produces a million catalogs a day with paper from clear-cut, boreal forests in Canada. There is a Victoria'ss Secret store located at the South Street Seaport, barely 50 feet from Reverend Billy'ss tent.

Speaking about the area surrounding his venue, the Reverend commented Without the grace of the Brooklyn Bridge or the aromatic memory of the Fulton Fish Market, how would people know they were in Manhattan The Church of Stop Shopping will bring New York to New York through this beautiful, old-fashioned circus tent on the pier: a Local Paradise.
