Rugman.com Mothers Day Campaign Helps Single Mothers Rebuild Their...



Leading up to Mother's Day www.rugman.com announced its plans to donate 5% of all proceeds to help provide work training for over 200 single moms.



From now until May 11th, 2008; 5% of all proceeds made at www.rugman.com will be donated to Zenab Cobra, an organization that trains Women to Weave Persian Rugs. Most of these Women have been forced to become sole bread winners due to the huge increase in drug abuse and unemployment among their husbands. The work training provided helps empower these women to gain independence for themselves and for their children. As the worlds largest online retailer of hand made Persian Rugs, www.rugman.com is looking to make a difference.



This is not the first time a percentage of sales from www.rugman.com has been donated to worthy causes, in an effort to support and help rebuild communities around the world. In the past Rugman.com has raised money for Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund (BCKF), the American Red Cross, and the March of Dimes.



Aslan, Rugman.com's president had this to say about their plan to donate to the these Women Weavers. "We're in the middle of celebrating our 10 year anniversary at Rugman.com. Since day one our business has partnered in fair trade programs and has worked directly with Weavers. This Mother's Day we wanted to do something more, to help more Weavers, especially single mother weavers, Zenab Cobra has inspired us. These Mother's need our help, by donating 5% of our proceeds during the next few weeks we know we can make a difference."
