Searching for Canadas Favorite Penny

's8220;Million Penny Film Productions's8221; is pleased to announce it is launching its national search to find Canada'ss favorite penny to star in its upcoming fall film production, The Hermitian Penny. The film is a short story that follows the final days of an abandoned, homeless Canadian penny as it searces for its place in society.

Million Penny Film Productions has launched Canadian Penny Idol to facilitate its search for The Hermitian Penny. Canadian Penny Idol will display all penny contestants on the website www.millionpennyfilm.ca and invite the public to vote through a 4 round process of elimination to determine Canada'ss favorite penny. In order to enter the competition, Canadian pennies, along with the entry form, must be received by July 15, 2006 and the voting process will begin on July 23. Canada'ss favorite penny will be announced on October 10, 2006. The winning penny will star in the film, The Hermitian Penny and the winner will also receive a $500 prize.
