Chicago, IL August 23, 2007 -- The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel commissioned Alia Designs, a luxury correspondence company to custom design unique silk stationery for a luncheon and bridal fashion show featuring designer Vera Wang. The result was miniature works of art. Alia Designs, well known for going beyond paper and using rich materials and three-dimensionality in its stationery design, has quickly become the favorite of the discerning socialite.
"Vera Wang's use of luxurious silks in her bridal collection combined with the beauty of The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel venue inspired this silk and embroidered stationery suite," said
Puneet Messler, co-founder of Alia Designs. The menus displayed at each place setting featured a pearlized cardstock embroidered with branches and flowers mounted on a thin cushion of
silk. The embroidered flower and branch design element was carried into the silk escort cards.
"This is the most elegant and innovative stationery that I have ever seen," commented one guest at the event. "We wanted to create more than just stationery, but rather a fashion forward
statement of the event. I was pleased to see many of the silk escort cards leaving with the guests as keepsakes," said Pavan Kochar, co-founder of Alia Designs.
The recipient of several creative design awards, Alia Designs luxury correspondence has emerged as the new fashionable stationery for those looking to make a statement.
