Sponsors and Supporters of the AwardWinning Documentary An American...

The documentary, An American Opera (www.anamericanopera.com), is calling to attention the fate of house pets amid a crisis, such as today'ss economic down turn in the United States.

We'sve seen first-hand that pets literally get left behind in a crisis. This film and our upcoming event will showcase and support an issue that needs to be resolved. We can'st allow our public agencies to become overwhelmed. Everyone shares a responsibility to care for life, even our animals, said Tom McPhee, director and producer of An American Opera.

Sponsors and supporters of animals are gathering at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor on Thursday, January 29 for a variety of activities, including the benefit premiere An American Opera. Tickets for the film premiere and public receptions are on sale to the public through Ticketweb (http://www.ticketweb.com/snl/Search.actionquery=an+american+opera's38;x=7's38;y=10).

An American Opera chronicles the efforts of thousands of volunteers who saved the lives of thousands of house pets immediately following Hurricane Katrina. Proceeds from the premiere screen will support the Michigan Humane Society, as well as Best Friends Animal Society, and a variety of senior service organizations in Southeastern Michigan.

The film'ss sponsors also will be available to share their support and information to the event attendees. Those sponsors include Angelo'ss, Ten Fine Jewelry, Hillside Terrace, and Martha 's38; Heinz Schmidt. More sponsorship information can be obtained by contacting mycavestudio@yahoo.com.

Patrons and press are invited to meet director McPhee during a reception starting at 7:00PM in the theater lobby. Appetizers and beverages will be provided by local sponsor, Hillside Terrace for the party. In addition, the public will see a sneak preview screening of raw interviews from McPhee'ss next epic film project, My Senior Year at 7:00PM The filmmaker will host a short question and answer session immediately following the 8:00PM screening.

Standard ticket prices are $10.00 and VIP tickets, which provide reserved seating, and an autographed poster from the event, cost $25.00 and can be purchased online. To purchase tickets in blocks of 10 contact mycavestudio@yahoo.com and save $15 per block.
