The Briggs Honor Clash CoFounder and Punk Icon Joe Stummer

"Warped Tour" 2007 main-stage artists THE BRIGGS raced back to their hometown of Los Angeles after tearing it up in Ventura, CA to rock "The Los Angeles Film Festival" in honor of their lifelong idol Joe Strummer whose biopic documentary "The Future is Unwritten" was being screened at the event.

Under the stars at the John Anson Ford Amphitheater, THE BRIGGS incited a pang of nostalgia in an all-too receptive audience by delivering well-interpreted Clash tunes like "Tommy Gun" & "Complete Control" during a set of their own songs from their current release "Back to Higher Ground."

The event brought out Sex Pistol's guitarist and Punk legend Steve "Jonsey" Jones who interviewed the band live on Indie 103.1 before they took the stage.

For co-frontmen & brothers, Jason & Joey LaRocca, being involved in the event was one of the biggest honors they have received to date. "The energy was pretty great," said Jason. "It was a really special experience for us to be a part of this since The Clash has been one of our biggest influences. To say it was a honor would be an understatement."
