The First Annual La Bal Masqueacute Nocturne Gothic Vampyre Masquerade...



While you might not expect to find vampires in the Valley of the Sun, one Masquerade Ball hopes to change that. That is, at least for one night.



La Bal Masqué Nocturne is a new event that wants to prove that you can have a grand time and help a good cause. Everyone is invited to this night of dark decadence, beginning at 8 P.M. on Saturday October 28, 2006 at The Grand Ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Phoenix, AZ.



The atmosphere will have the air of 18th Century France, with all of its extravagance and romance. However, a modern gothic influence will also be present, so that one will feel at home in both times, adding the mystery of immortality to the mix.



Throughout the evening, along with many styles or dancing, there will be a decadent dessert buffet and cash bar. Attendees will also be able to participate in costume and trivia contests and raffles.



The inspiration for the Ball comes from my own personal experience with my mother who died of lung cancer, said Michelle Celley, Promoter and Coordinator for the Ball. I know so many other people who have been affected by cancer in one way or another. I'sm a goth at heart so throwing a vampyre'ss ball seemed only natural.



Tickets are on sale now at the Ball'ss website, MasqueNocturne.com for $50 per person or $95 per couple. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The American Cancer Society.
