Philanthro Productions, a non-profit organization that creates unique opportunities for young adults to engage in charitable giving, today announced its summer kick-off event, Spotlight: Cystic Fibrosis Revealed, which will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF), the leading organization devoted to curing and controlling cystic fibrosis, a fatal genetic disease. Philanthro will host the benefit party at Peter Famulari's Boulevard3 in Hollywood, Calif. on Friday, June 20.
"We are thrilled to partner with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for our next event, especially since one hundred percent of event proceeds will go to support life-saving research in the
fight to find a cure for cystic fibrosis, a devastating disease," said Anneke Jong, 24, Philanthro's Co-President. "Our patrons can truly relate to the charity's cause, as it is our
generational peers who are fighting the hardest against cystic fibrosis."
After a successful debut on the Los Angeles Westside at V-Lounge in April, Spotlight marks Philanthro's return to Hollywood, with the organization promising many surprises at its largest
venue to date. By showcasing the profiles of young adults affected with cystic fibrosis along with the lavish production elements characteristic of Peter Famulari's successful venue, the
event will be a seamless integration of entertainment and education.
"Our hope is that our patrons will realize the cure for cystic fibrosis is achievable within our own generation's lifetime, which is a truly powerful insight," said Austin Kiessig, 24,
Philanthro's Co-President. "A driving force in our goal to create lifelong philanthropists is making our patrons aware that they can truly affect change in such ways."
The June 20 event will feature a surprise benefit show with special guests, giveaways, raffle prizes and more. Doors will open at 9 pm; ages 21 and up only. Visit www.philanthroproductions.org for further information and to sign up on the guest list. After the event, Philanthro will continue to work with
CFF to provide young adults with volunteering opportunities with the organization.
