Air Purifiers Direct 2U (http://www.airpurifiersdirect2u.com/) has pushed itself through the Summer Slump period of the year during the summer months and is heading for the homestretch with the onset of the 2008 fall allergy season and Christmas shopping time period. The slowdown during the summer months is expected as shoppers are spending more time outdoors and less time online. A Summer Slump in the air purifier industry also occurs during this time, as well, and runs until early fall when the fall allergy season starts and the weather begins to get a little colder. The colder weather and fall allergy season brings shoppers back online and sales start to pick-up until the slowdown again the following latter part of spring.





With our slight growth in the 2nd Quarter of this year and heading into the 'sSummer Slump's portion of the summer, we were not overly optimistic for 3rd Quarter growth, founder Bill Unyi states. Plus with the drop in the economy in the latter part of the 3rd Quarter, we still had our doubts about growth, but year-over-year growth was attained in the 3rd Quarter of this year. Unyi continues, Adding new products was the key to growth in the 3rd Quarter. If we hadn'st have added the additional new products from the 2nd Quarter, we probably would have been flat year-over-year or down in sales revenue and profit for the 3rd Quarter.



In some ways, this year is a perfect storm for drooping sales in retail air purifier sales, Unyi states. With the economy in bad shape, 2008 being an election year, and the normal sales slowdown for summer air purifier purchases, things probably won'st get much better until after the election this fall. Hopefully sales pick up in time for Christmas. AirPurifiersDirect2U.com had been growing at a steady pace year-over-year until the 2nd Quarter of this year. Overall, 2008 has been a much better year for them than 2007 in regards to total sales volume, but growth in 2007 was steady throughout the year compared to this year. 2008 has been a little disappointing for them in regards to sales volumes per month leveling off so early in the year. Being a new company, we expected steady sales growth for at least the first 3-4 years before volumes leveled off, Unyi concludes.

These models continue to be the core of our business for 2008 and we expect that to continue for years to come, Unyi states. Month-after-month we see the same products as Top Sellers and that'ss due to the strength of those products and their brand image. They are durable, well-built products that can last a long time with proper maintenance. With the 3rd Quarter in the books, we are heading strongly into the 4th Quarter of 2008, Unyi states. October has already proven to have been a strong month for us and that momentum should be able to take us into the rest of the 4th Quarter and Christmas shopping season. Unyi concludes, We are very optimistic for strong sales growth finishing out this year and into the New Year. 2008 will have been a very nice year for our small business.
