On May 12 & 13 2006, in the middle of the desert in Phoenix, AZ, EDO Performance and ZERO/SPORTS teamed up to participate in the GT Track Attack Championship which is essentially a
circuit based event where top U.S. and international cars and drivers participate to set the fastest lap time around the course.
The EDO Performance/ZERO/SPORTS car, the BTZ601R, driven by Yasushi Kikuchi, is currently the fastest time attack Subaru Impreza in the world, posting a 57.285 at Tsukuba in December 2005
and finishing second in the unlimited class 5 lap battle at the 2006 Hyper Meeting in Tsukuba.
EDO Performance and ZERO/SPORTS first ever team up at GT Live was a huge success, considering the stiff competition of top established JDM road racers such as Nobuteru NOB Taniguchi and
Eiji Tarzan Yamada. After all the hard work and effort, EDO Performance and ZERO/SPORTS were proud to place overall 2nd as well as 2nd in the AWD category with a time of 1:01.803. First
place finisher was Eiji Tarzan Yamada with a time of 1:01.803, and third place was Brady Dohrman with a time of 1:07.795.
