For many people, spilling oil or other fluids and trying to clean up the aftermath can be an arduous process. The fact of the matter is that oil can'st simply be cleaned with an all surface cleaner and requires something more to insure EPA standards and profit margins are met. This is where Clay Roy and Doug Shields come in.
Roy and Shields are the proprietors of www.GreatGreenSolutions.com, a website that specializes in the Spillpro, a line of pneumatic
machines that can clean oil spills without harming the environment or cutting into a business'ss profit through time.
For all shops, time is everything, said Roy. Spills have to be cleaned up which costs the company money.
With an added filter, the Spillpro takes the spill and essentially recycles the oil or liquid that is spilled on the ground making it one of the most innovative surface cleaners available
on the market.
The disposal costs are eliminated as the oil can be reused and a separate microbe product cleans the remaining film, said Shields.
Great Green Solutions started in October 2005 after Roy retired as an aircraft maintenance chief in the armed forces and saw the the Spillpro in action. The website launched in 2007 and
this year, Roy and Shields have introduced their latest web venture, the Great Green Solutions blog, www.NewGreenIdeasBlog.com.
The blog will offer ways that people can help the environment and save money by utilizing the products that are featured in their web store. They'sre also encouraging people to chime in
with their own comments and tips.
Our customers come up with ideas and they help us to further make the Spillpro and our many other green products work, said Shields.
We want to invite people to the blog and they'sll let us know what works and we can all exchange ideas as Doug and I continue to blog ourselves, added Roy.
Great Green Solutions is continuing to grow and has the aforementioned bioremediation product that allows living microbes to safely eat the remaining film from spills and is EPA approved
to be washed down the drain. All of this technology, say the duo, will help independent businesses and government services in the long haul. Their products are being used by military
bases, airports, marine services, cities, farmers, shops and more.
Over time, the Spillpro becomes an investment that will pay for itself, said Shields. You have a onetime front end cost, but the back end disposal costs, floor dry and cleaning products
are almost eliminated resulting in an income producing asset through reuse of the fluids.
