On a recent trip to Melbourne Australia, Senior Instrutor Ben Strader spent three weeks training Pat Cahill from Competition Systems to become the fourth instructor for EFI
University.
Pat comes from an extensive background in motorsports including working in Speedway Racing(A Mod, Sprintcar), Drag Racing, Sports Sedans (TransAm), Formula Holden, Formula Ford, Formula 3
(1999 & 2000 Aust. Championship wining car), Aust. Offshore Power Boat Championship, FIA GT1 (2004 FIA GT Festival Champions, Bahrain), Nations Cup/Australian GT Championship.
The need for more qualified individuals to become instructors for EFI University has steadily grown since the first seminar in June of 2003, and Pat fit the bill exactly, when it came
time to fill the position in Australia.
After nearly a six week tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2004 to host classes and promote EFI University, senior Instructor Ben Strader realized the need for more classes throughout
Australia and New Zealand, but also admitted that the logistics of such events was very complicated and expensive from so far away as the EFI University headquarters in the United
States.
The logical solution was to find a good representative within Australia, and Ben remembered meeting with Pat from the trip and he also noted that Pat was instrumental in spreading the
word about EFI University and helping with the planning of the events, so he decided to invite Pat to join the team.
Pat enthusiastically accepted and immediately began training to take the position.
Now that the training has ended, Pat is fully qualified to train and certify students on behalf of EFI University and is currently working on a full schedule of events all across
Australia to take place in late 2005 and early 2006.
Senior Instructor Ben Strader said, We are very excited to have someone with such a broad understanding of engine development and tuning on the team such as Pat and I know that he will
prove a valuable asset to our team in the years to come.
A new Australian version of the EFI University class schedule will be posted soon on the EFI University website at www.efi101.com.
