MLB Umpire Marvin Hudson Set to Visit Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta...



8211;- Major League Baseball (MLB) Umpire Marvin Hudson visits Children's8217;s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite on Friday, July 7 to offer words of encouragement and distribute Build-A-Bear Workshop® stuffed animals. The visit to children coping with injury or illness marks the fourth hospital-based event of the year for BLUE for Kids, Inc., a non-profit organization that Hudson co-founded with fellow MLB Umpire, Mike DiMuro.

Up to 40 children will receive a Build-A-Bear Workshop stuffed animal. Each furry friend is fitted with a Tiny Tees® shirt, a pair of khaki shorts, an Atlanta Braves's8482; hat, and an official birth certificate. Marvin will also bring a supply of baseballs, bats, and photos.



Atlanta-based consulting firm Praeos Technologies, Inc. is the Big League sponsor for the hospital event. Fund-raisers of the BLUE for Kids 's8216;Get Stuffed's8217; Atlanta campaign receive a ticket to the Atlanta Braves 's8482; baseball game July 6th at Turner Field, meet briefly with Marvin Hudson prior to the game, and are eligible for other prizes.
