The Birmingham/Bessemer Alabama area will welcome the NFL's elite, recording artists, actors, actresses radio personalities and other VIP guests in the name of fundraising for homegrown hero and New York Jets star safety Kerry Rhodes. Kerry will host his First Annual Kerry RHODES Foundation Celebrity Basketball Game and Weekend, June 29 through July 1, 2007.
The weekend's festivities include a personalized fashion show presented by Mychael Knight (Project Runway) and hosted by America's Next Top Model winner Dani Evans and a celebrity charity
basketball game featuring Larry Johnson (NFL- Chiefs), Jonathan Vilma (NFL-Jets), Shay "Buckey" Johnson (Flavor of Love), Tatyana Ali (Fresh Prince), Braylon Edwards (NFL-Browns), Kyle
Massey (That's So Raven/ Cory In The House), Melody Thornton (Pussycat Dolls), Michael K Williams (The Wire), Hassan Johnson (ER/The Wire), Wesley Jonathan (Roll Bounce/ What I Like About
You), Young B (Rapper - Chicken Noodle Soup),Antoine Harris (NFL- Titans), Vanessa Simmons (Run's House), Carl Payne (Martin), Cousin Jeff Johnson (BET), Takeo Spikes (NFL- Eagles), Trina
(rapper), Michael B Jordan (All My Children/ The Wire) and Denyce Lawton (Redline) among others. The game will be held at the Jess Lanier High School gymnasium (00 High School Drive,
Bessemer, AL, 35022) which Rhodes recently contributed to the renovations through the RHODES Foundation.

Kerry Rhodes established The RHODES Foundation in 2006 to address the Reaffirming Hopes Of Dream Endearing Scholars living in America's impoverished neighborhoods. The mission of the
foundation is to support the educational and financial advancement of young people in under-served high schools nationwide. The proceeds from this weekend will raise funds for the RHODES
Foundation initiatives and scholarships.
